Assised Hatching

Hatching is a requirement for all successful pregnancies and births. However, some embryos do not hatch on their own. This is when assisted hatching can be useful.
This process—known as hatching—usually occurs naturally around five to seven days after the egg is fertilized, becoming an embryo.Who might benefit from assisted hatching?
Assisted hatching may be recommended for women:

Age 38 or older
With at least three previous IVF failures
Whose embryos have a thick shell
Whose embryos were frozen for preservation
Who use preimplantation genetic diagnosis
Whose eggs or embryos are of poor quality.
