Co culture is an advanced IVF technique utilized to promote normal embryo development and also increase a patient’s chance to have a healthy pregnancy.
How it is work ?
The endometrial cells which are collected by physician are grown in the Laboratory. These cells are thawed prior to oocyte retrieval. The cultured cells are placed in the Petri dish with the embryo resulting from an IVF cycle, where they develop until embryo transfer date .
The co-culture of embryos should not be considered a first course of fertility treatment. The technique is still new, used just twenty years. Therefore,no any long term risks are known. This technique should not be used for the patiend who do İVF for the first time or for patients known to produce embryos of reasonably good quality.
